His father Gary Schuck served in the U.S. Army and after his service he came home to his family in Winter and worked for the Winter Post Office as a Rural Letter Carrier until he retired.

Education, Credentials, and Experience History

After graduating with the class of 1993 from Winter High School, he went on to college and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Accounting at Trinity International University (formerly known as Trinity College) in Deerfield, Illinois.

While in college he was actively involved with student government. In 1997 Robert became a member of the American Institute of Parliamentarians (AIP). The following May of 1998 he completed the University of Wisconsin Extension leadership course on parliamentary procedure and joined the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP).  He became active in leadership roles in both organizations. Robert was elected Treasurer of both AIP and the Wisconsin State Association of Parliamentarians (WAP) in 1999.  His interest in advancing his knowledge and understanding of proper procedure and the rules for business meetings led him to these educational organizations.  In June of 1999 Robert earned his credentials as a Registered Parliamentarian (RP), and that fall, he passed the professional qualifying course of NAP and became credentialed as a Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP).  After serving two years as the treasurer for both AIP and WAP he was nominated and elected the president of the Wisconsin Association of Parliamentarians. He was then re-elected two more two year terms serving a total of six consecutive years as the state president. As a Professional Registered Parliamentarian Robert teaches workshops and leadership seminars on Robert's Rule of Order, to help people learn the rules for business meetings and how to use proper parliamentary procedure. He has served state and national associations both large and small organizations as their parliamentarian consultant helping them to have better business meetings and fair elections.

He has also given back to his community by serving as a leadership coach for the Winter High School students involved in the Winter SkillsUSA Chapter. While he was their coach for three consecutive years the Winter Skills USA Chapter Business Team placed in the top three at the SkillsUSA Nationals Competition, bringing home two bronze medals and one silver medal for Wisconsin.

Robert is a small business owner in Winter. His gift shop is currently closed. He has volunteered and served as president, secretary, treasurer, director, and other leadership positions for a number of organizations including the Winter Area Chamber of Commerce.  He served a number of years as the Winter Area Chamber of Commerce President and helped them to promote and market the area and the area businesses and community events. His father has jokingly called him a professional Volunteer. He also served a few terms as the president of the Sawyer County Fire & Emergency Service Association as well as the Chief Deputy 2, Secretary, and Safety Officer of the Winter Volunteer Fire Department. He is currently serving as Treasurer of the National Association of Parliamentarians, and as President of the Wisconsin State Association of Parliamentarians.
